Members of the Queen Creek (Ariz.) football team, including senior starting quarterback Carson Jones, regularly eat lunch with Chy Johnson, a sophomore special needs student who was the target of frequent bullying.
“They’re not bullying her anymore because they’ve seen her with us or something," Jones told Phoenix's KTVK-3TV.
The Bulldogs are 10-0 and play Agua Fria (Avondale, Ariz.) in a first-round playoff game on Friday.
"Everything for us is going well, but someone else needs to feel good, too," Tucker Workman, another Queen Creek player, said.
