The Scoop: The “Year of the Snake” has arrived — well just on your feet. In honor of the Chinese New Year, which begins Feb. 10, adidas released a special version of Derrick Rose’s signature basketball shoe, the D Rose 3.5 “Year of the Snake”.
The shoe’s black synthetic upper — which gives your foot breathable and lightweight support — is textured with a scale pattern to represent snakeskin.
Metallic gold outlines the shoe perimeter and complements the toe area, which features a turquoise color representitive of water, the key element for the Chinese New Year.
