What: Adidas Crazyquick Basketball Shoe

The Scoop: The adidas Crazyquick basketball shoe will be held from public consumption until May 1. But, the nation’s top high school basketball players will be lucky enough to flaunt a pair when they step onto the court today for the 36th Annual McDonald’s All America Game in Chicago's United Center.

The “McDonald’s All American” Crazyquick edition features a red toe box and transitions to black along the upper. Alongside the shoe are three white stripes decked with gold flecks, a design detail inspired by the McDonald's arches.

The All America Game logo is stamped on the tongue and sockliner; 2013 is stamped inside the tongue and on the heel.

Design details aside, the shoe aims to keep players quick and agile, thanks in part to improved traction and flexibility features. The upper portion integrates Sprintframe, technology the brand says provides lightweight support.

While the “McDonald’s All American” Crazyquick edition is limited to the game’s players, you can cop a regular pair when the shoe officially releases on May 1 (preorder begins April 17).

The adidas Crazyquick retails $140 and will be available online at adidas.com, eastbay.com and footlocker.com.
