Newark Catholic selling football tickets

Advance tickets for the game to be played at 7:30 p.m. today at Westerville Central against Danville will be sold from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the high school.

Advance tickets cost $7, and all tickets at the gate will be $9. A portion of the pre-sale proceeds will go back to the school.

Johnstown selling football tickets for regional final

Johnstown is selling tickets today in advance of the football team's Division IV regional final against St. Clairsville.

Tickets will be on sale at the high school from 7:30 to 9 a.m. today. Tickets also will be sold from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today at the middle school.

Advance tickets are $7 and all tickets at the gate will be $9. A portion of the pre-sale proceeds will go back to the school. The Johnnies play St. Clairsville at 7:30 p.m. today at Zanesville High School's John D. Sulsberger Memorial Stadium.

Watkins girls holding Meet the Team

The Watkins Memorial girls basketball program is hosting a Meet the Team fundraiser Saturday at the high school.

The event begins at 3:30 p.m. with youth games. The seventh- and eighth-grade teams will scrimmage followed by the freshman and reserve teams. The event concludes with the varsity scrimmaging an alumni team at 7:30 p.m.

Donations will be taken at the door, and a signed basketball will be raffled.

Butler competing for Team Ohio

Licking Valley senior Mackenzie Butler is competing in the MidEast Cross Country Championships as a part of Team Ohio on Saturday.

The event is at Indian Riffle Park in Kettering and includes top senior runners from Ohio, Indiana, Michigan and Illinois. Retired Granville coach Bob Hollen is the girls coach for Team Ohio.

Johnstown seeking baseball coaches

Johnstown is in need of a variety of baseball coaches for the upcoming spring. The Johnnies are searching for an assistant JV coach and coaches for their seventh- and eighth-grade teams.

Wildcat Wrestling club

The Biddy (K-6th grade) and middle school (7th and 8th grade) wrestling programs still are accepting registrations.

Cost is $50 per wrestler. Practice for youth will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Practice for middle school will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Both will have some Saturday practices.

Wrestlers will compete in the Middle school Ohio Capital Conference and the Licking County Youth Wrestling League. Registration will be open for the next two weeks. For questions, call coach McClain at 740-405-3076, coach Wade at 740-644-1428 or coach Martinez at 614-325-1090.

Sheridan Alumni Game

Sheridan High School will be playing an alumni basketball game on Nov. 23. Any graduates interested in playing should contact Coach Booth at no-gbooth@seovec.org or 740-743-1335 to sign-up.

Annual basketball preview

The Logan Bobcats basketball program will be having its 17th annual holiday basketball preview. It will be Nov. 23, 24 and 27.

All games will be at the Union Furnace Elementary School.

There is no cost to play, but there is admission for spectators. All boys and girls teams (K-6th) are eligible to enter.
