Indiana High School Roundup | Charlestown basketball beats Silver Creek 57-50

Charlestown found its shooting touch at just the right time and rallied to beat Silver Creek 57-50 Tuesday night in a boys' Mid-Southern Conference basketball game.

The host Pirates (3-1, 2-1) trailed 38-37 entering the final quarter but outscored the Dragons 20-12 to win going away.

"We hit some big-time shots (in the fourth quarter)," assistant coach Brian Stewart said.

Aaron Daniel led the victory with 15 points. Gabe Bauer had 14 points for Silver Creek (1-4, 0-3).

* New Washington 61, Crothersville 51: Tim Cochran scored a game-high 20 points for the host Mustangs (2-2, 1-0), and teammate Ian Hughes added 15. Gene Hodge scored 18 points for the visiting Tigers (2-5, 0-2).

Girls

* Corydon 56, South Central 31: Kayla Uhl scored 12 points and racked up six steals as the host Panthers (6-3) cruised past the Rebels (2-6).

Teammate Reagan Mosley also turned in a strong performance, finishing with 10 points, eight rebounds and four steals. Kelsey Miller led South Central with 10 points.

* Jeffersonville 59, South Oldham 51: Aurreesha Hings and Haley Vogan both scored 11 points to lead the visiting Red Devils (4-4) past the Colonels (0-5). Sydney Jones scored 14 points and Corrine Sanford 12 for South Oldham.

* Henryville 40, West Washington 36: Emily Hollis's 16 points helped lead the Hornets (5-6) get past the visiting Senators (2-5).
