Providence joined Clarksville in this week's boys' Associated Press Class 2-A Indiana high school basketball poll.
The Pioneers (4-0), unranked last week, are eighth. Clarksville (5-0) moved up one spot to fourth.
Borden (5-0) remained sixth in the Class A poll, with Orleans (3-1) entering at No. 10.
Brownstown (3-0) moved one spot in the Class 3-A poll to sixth.
Carmel (4-A), Greensburg (3-A), Park Tudor (2-A) and Loogootee (A) remained the top ranked teams in each class.
* Paoli (5-0) moved up one position to third in the Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association 3-A poll.
Bedford North Lawrence (6-0) remained fourth in 4-A. Madison (8-0) received one first-place vote in the Class 3-A poll and moved up two spots to sixth. Scottsburg (6-1) entered the 3-A poll at No. 10.
The top-ranked girls' teams -- Hamilton Southeastern (4-A), Benton Central (3-A), Evansville Mater Dei (2-A) and Fort Wayne Canterbury (A) -- all retained their positions from last week's polls.
* Louisville Whitefield Academy 64, Rock Creek Academy 30: The Wildcats (3-3) shot outside the zone defense of the Lions (0-6), making nine 3-pointers en route to the home win.
"The basket looked pretty big tonight," said Whitefield coach Norman Huebner.
Kelsey Blackwell led Whitefield with 17 points. Victoria Faulk pitched in 14 points, including four 3-pointers.
Brittney Page led Rock Creek with nine points.
