BOYS MIDSTATE BASKETBALL POLL

1. CPA (4-0): Coach Drew Maddux and Lions visit his alma mater, Goodpasture, on Tuesday.

2. Blackman (5-0): Beats Columbia 70-16 last week, hosts Brentwood on Friday.

3. Brentwood (7-1): Goes 3-0 against Station Camp, McGavock and Overton last week.

4. Wilson Central (3-0): Guard Jacob Williams scores 20 points against Antioch.

5. Dickson Co. (5-1): Extends win streak to five with 68-63 victory over Henry County.

6. Hillsboro (7-0): Average margin of victory is 21.1 points, hosts Overton on Tuesday.

7. Kenwood (6-0): Plays Northwest and Northeast in District 10-AAA this week.

8. FRA (5-0): Beats Ensworth 77-41 after defeating Bolivar the previous week.

9. Ensworth (2-2): Corn Elder may return this week after leading football team to third straight DII-AA title.

GIRLS MIDSTATE BASKETBALL POLL

1. Riverdale (6-0): Class AAA champs averaging 83.2 points, host Mt. Juliet on Tuesday.

2. Livingston Acad. (9-1): Lady Wildcats win six straight since losing to Knoxville Webb.

3. Blackman (6-0): Freshman guard Crystal Dangerfield continues to impress for Lady Blaze.

4. Creek Wood (6-0): Highly touted guard Rachel Bell leads victory over Columbia.

5. Columbia (4-2): After losses to Blackman, Creek Wood, Lady Lions go to Brentwood Acad.

6. Oakland (5-0): Streaking start includes 46-26 win over 8-AAA power Franklin County.

7. CPA (4-1): Lady Lions have allowed just 35 points per game, losing only to Brentwood.

8. Jackson Co. (6-1): 55-51 loss to Livingston Academy stalls six-game streak to start season.

9. Station Camp (5-0): Belmont signee Kia Perry, solid defensive effort key Lady Bisons' start.

10. Page (5-2): Four-game win streak follows early losses to Coffee County, Macon County.
