MAPLEWOOD, Minn. - Two of the top teams in the Classic Suburban Conference are St. Thomas Academy and Hill-Murray. And those two teams got together on Friday night in a very exciting game.
The Cadets jumped out to an early lead, scoring 11 points in the 1st and 10 more in the 2nd. But the Pioneers fought back, putting a pair of touchdowns on the board in the 2nd quarter to keep the game close.
St. Thomas Academy only added a pair of field goals in the 2nd half. But that would turn out to be the difference as they hold on to beat Hill-Murray 27-25.
St. Thomas Academy stays perfect this year, moving to 4-0, while Hill-Murray falls to 2-2.
