ST. MICHAEL, Minn. - The Elk River football team defeated St. Michael-Albertville 24-10 to advance to the state tournament.
After the Knights took a 3-0 lead, Elks running back Denis Bardashevskiy broke off a 91-yard touchdown run to give Elk River a 7-3 lead. The Elks never looked back after that, allowing just ten points to the St. Michael-Albertville offense. Elk River advances to the state tournament.
