MINNEAPOLIS - The DeLaSalle Islanders defeated Cooper 28-0 Friday night to advance to the state tournament.
The top-seeded Islanders started the game off strong and DeLaSalle got rolling when Chris Williams ran in for a touchdown. The Islanders defense dominated all game long and made big plays when needed. After Cooper fumbled the football, Aaron Warren recovered the turnover and returned it for the touchdown. The defense pitched a shutout to help DeLaSalle win 28-0.
