CHAMPLIN, Minn. - The Champlin Park Rebels defeated Centennial 35-27 to win the opening round matchup of the section tournament.
The Rebels led the game 21-7 in the third quarter but Centennial started a comeback when Max Cory threw a touchdown pass to Josh Dewitt to cut the lead to one score. Champlin Park answered right back when Trevor Garrison scored on the quarterback keeper to make it 28-14. Centennial made it a game in the second half but the Rebels were too much as they advance to the next round of the section playoffs.
