MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn. - The St. Thomas Academy football team defeated East Ridge 41-14 in the section final.
The Raptors and Cadets met in the Section 5-5A final and both teams came to play. St. Thomas Academy jumped out to an early lead but East Ridge started to make a comeback. Quarterback Seth Green threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to cut the lead to 22-13. But the Cadets were too much and continued to add to their lead. Nick Waldvogel scored on a 30-yard touchdown run to extend the Cadets lead.
