INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, Minn. - The 4/5 game in the 5AAAAA section bracket lived up to its seeding. Sibley played at Simley and it was a very evenly-matched game.
The Spartans had a big first quarter, scoring a pair of touchdowns to take a 14-7 lead. But the Warriors kept up, scoring in the 2nd to tie the game at the half.
Neither team could get the offense going in the 3rd quarter. But in the 4th, the Spartans were able to punch it into the end zone one more time. And that was the difference as they beat Henry Sibley 20-14.
Simley advances and will take on top-seeded St. Thomas Academy in the next round.
