Girls state lacrosse final: Blake 11, Eden Prairie 10

8:22 PM, Jun. 07, 2012 EDT

CHANHASSEN, Minn. - The Blake girls' lacrosse team defeated Eden Prairie to win the state lacrosse championship.

The Eagles jumped out to a big lead, behind the play of Emma Claire Fontenot and Jessica Lagerquist, who helped give Eden Prairie the lead for most of the game. But the Blake Bears kept fighting and made a push in the second half. Jordan Chancellor scored late in the game to give the Blake a one goal lead. Eden Prairie had a chance to tie the game in the final minute. Bears' goalie Bailey Dunning stopped Lagerquist to end the Eagles rally. Blake wins their third straight title with an exciting 11-10 win over Eden Prairie. Blake senior Maghan Bauer and junior Nicole Kozlak talk about the Bears' victory.
