Girls hockey: Eden Prairie 7, Bloomington Kennedy 1

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. - The Eden Prairie girls' hockey team defeated Bloomington Kennedy 7-1 in the opening round of the section playoffs.

Eden Prairie took the lead in the first period when Anna Johnson scored on a point blank shot in front of the net. After that, the Eagles took control of the game and never looked back. Charly Dahlquist scored to put Eden Prairie up by two goals, and that proved to be the game-winner as Eden Prairie advanced with the 7-1 victory.
