BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - The Eden Prairie girls' hockey team defeated Edina 3-1 to advance to the state tournament.
In the Section 2-2A final, it was a classic rivalry matchup between two Lake Conference foes for the chance to go to the state tournament. The Eagles scored first behind a nice wrist shot by Kate Rydland to give Eden Prairie an early lead. The Hornets made things interesting down the stretch but the Eagles managed to hang on for the 3-1 victory.
