WAYZATA, Minn. - One of the best games in the state this week was between 2 of the top teams in 6A, Edina and Wayzata.
And this was a slug-fest between these two Lake Conference teams.
Edina started fast, and the Hornets led 13-3 at the half. Wayzata would fight back in a big way in the 3rd quarter, scoring twice to take a 17-13 lead. But in the 4th, the Hornets would rip off a 98 yard touchdown run. And that would be the game-winner as Edina gets the 20-17 win.
Edina moves to 6-1 on the season, while Wayzata suffers their first loss and they fall to 4-1.
