EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. - Arguably the biggest game in the state this week was a battle of Lake Conference titans. Eden Prairie hosted Edina with possibly the top spot in the conference on the line.
And this game lived up to the hype.
Neither team was able to score in the 1st quarter. Eden Prairie would strike first in the 2nd, but Edina responded, and at the half, the Hornets held a 7-6 lead.
The 2nd half belonged to Edina. Their offense didn't do much, but it did enough. And their defense completely shut down the Eagles. The Hornets scored 2 more touchdowns and they pull off their 2nd straight huge win, beating Eden Prairie 17-6.
With the win, Edina moves to 7-1. Meanwhile, Eden Prairie suffers their first loss of the year and falls to 6-1.
