MINNEAPOLIS - The Totino-Grace football team defeated Bemidji 23-0 in their Class 5A state semifinal matchup.
It was a close battle throughout the game as the Eagles and Lumberjacks kept it close. Bemidji quarterback James Hendricks was intercepted in the second quarter by Carlton Djam. The Eagles scored quickly off the turnover when A.J. LaPanta connected with Charlie Miller for a 22-yard touchdown, which gave the Eagles a 10-0 lead. The Eagles defense dominated in all aspects of the game as they forced a shutout against the Lumberjacks.
