MINNEAPOLIS - The Rochester Lourdes football team defeated Annandale 20-16 to advance to the Class 3A state final.
Annandale started the game out strong, jumping out to a two score lead in the second quarter when Brett Ahsenmacher broke off a 79-yard touchdown run. The Cardinals had all the momentum but back came Rochester Lourdes late in the first half.
Quarterback Mark Pagel scored on a 24-yard touchdown run to put the Eagles on the board. Pagel and the rest of the team mounted a comeback in the second half to win 20-16. The Eagles advance to the state final.
