CHANHASSEN, Minn. - The Waconia boys' basketball team defeated Chanhassen 60-48 Tuesday night.
It was a back-and-forth game throughout the first half as both the Storm and Wildcats traded bucket after bucket. The Storm cut the Wildcats' lead to five points when Joey Witthus knocked down a turnaround jumper to make the score 41-36.
Waconia answered right back and extended its lead to ten points when Josh Lenz drained a three pointer to seal the victory. The Wildcats defense did the rest as Waconia walks away with a big road win early in the season.
