Nine area volleyball players made the All-Ohio list as voted on by the state's coaches.
Leading the way were a pair of players from Buckeye Central, a school making its 10th Final Four appearance Friday at Wright State's Nutter Center. Sammi Marcum, a 5-foot-7 senior outside hitter, was a first-team pick in Division IV, while 5-9 junior outside hitter Madison Williams was a third-team selection. Marcum was the only first-teamer from north central Ohio.
Two players were named to the second team. Shelby's 6-1 senior middle hitter Devon Murray and Wynford's 5-9 outside hitter Paige Brady made the list in Division II and III, respectively.
Making third team in Division II was Lexington's 5-9 senior outside hitter Jenni Payne, while Colonel Crawford's 6-2 senior middle hitter Nickyla Garverick made the same unit in Division IV.
Ashland's 5-10 senior middle hitter Mackenzie McFarlin was honorable mention in Division I. In Division II, Willard's 6-2 senior middle hitter Laura Danhoff and Highland's 5-11 sophomore outside hitter Kam Terry were honorable mention.
