Fencing: The Hackley boys team won all three disciplines (foil, sabre, epee) against Rye Country Day, but the RCDS girls team took two of three from the Hornets.
The Wildcats' girls team also won two of three against Riverdale, and their boys were swept again.
Hackley defeated RCDS 8-1 in boys foil. Thomas Wolfgang went 3-0. In the Hornets' 6-3 win in epee, Nick Hallock, Ryan Swei and Phil Brooks each went 2-0. Phil Yoo went 3-0 in an 8-1 win in sabre.
In the girls competition, Bonnie Ishiguro went 2-0 as RCDS 5-4 edged the Hornets 5-4 in foil. Maddy Gallagher went 3-0 in the Wildcats' 6-3 win in sabre. Hackley's Angelina Xing went 2-0 in the Hornets' 6-3 win in epee.
Against Riverdale, RCDS' Rosie Nelson and Olivia Nichols each won two of three bouts in sabre. Ishiguro and Emma Chu each earned two wins in foil. Ruben Conn won two of three bouts in boys sabre.
