Suffern 3, Clarkstown North 1: In the Section 1 championship match at Clarkstown South today, Tommy Sharp had 18 kills and Jack Sheehan had 15 blocks in a 25-21, 25-27, 25-22, 25-23 win.
It is Suffern's fifth consecutive sectional title. Stav Gershonovitz had 14 kills for the Rams, and teammate Alosh Alex had 29 assists. The Mounties will face nemesis Bethlehem from Section 2 in the first round of the Division 1 Regionals Saturday at 1 p.m. (site to be determined).
