Showcase Game of the Week: Glen Rose vs. Fountain Lake

12:00 AM, Oct. 13, 2012 EDT

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (KTHV) -- Our THV Showcase Game of the Week features two teams out of 3A Conference destined for a championship spot in conference play.

The rainy weather didn't keep the fans away at Cobra Mountain a.k.a. Fountain Lake High School.

Colin Hunter decided he want to take the long route to the end zone. Unfortunately, after a few bumps in the road, Hunter found himself out of bounds inside the 15. A few plays later, Hunter goes for broke and hurls it into the end zone. But the ball falls in the hands of Glen Rose's Taylor "Tiki" Barber.

Barber's one handed interception could be a THV Top 11 Nominee. The first quarter comes to an end, scoreless for both teams.

In the second quarter, the Beavers were on the move once more. This time it's Curtis Burton. Burton with the quick pass down the sideline inside the 10 yard line. It's now first and goal for the Beavers.

Glen Rose can't convert on three tries. But on fourth down, Jordan Stone makes the play of the night. Stone breaks up the pass to the end zone turning the ball over on downs.

Glen Rose, however, comes away with the victory Friday night. Beavers win 7-6 over the Cobras of Fountain Lake.
