Offensive Player of the Week
West running back Seth Marshall was voted the USA Today High School Sports Offensive Player of the Week. The sophomore rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries and returned a kick 90 yards for a score in the Rebels' 50-6 win over Heritage.
West faces South-Doyle in the first round of the playoffs as it hopes to make a third straight trip to the state semifinals.
Defensive Player of the Week
Loudon defensive end Brian McFalls claims the Defensive Player of the Week award. The senior racked up eight tackles and made a key fourth-down sack with Kingston threatening to score. McFalls played an important role in the Redskins' shutout win.
Head coach Jeff Harig says McFalls has been the anchor of the defense all season. Loudon gets a rematch with district foe CAK in the first round of the playoffs.
