12:04 AM, Oct. 19, 2012 EDT

Powell finished off its regular season on Thursday night with a 20-0 win over Central. The Panthers have a bye in Week 10.

Bobcats star running back JaJuan Stinson injured his foot early in the game, not helping Central's cause against a stingy Powell defense.

Montario Washington scored all three of Powell's touchdowns.

Powell clinches the runner-up spot in District 3-AAA and will be in the playoffs.

Jefferson County continued its march towards the playoffs with a 37-7 win over Morristown East.

Dearies Jones scored three touchdowns in the first half and the Patriots defense forced two turnovers that led to scores.

Jefferson County's final game next week will be against South-Doyle. The Patriots (7-2, 4-2) are currently third in the IMAC but could have a chance to claim the runner-up spot.

Anderson County kept its playoff hopes alive with a 25-20 win over Hardin Valley.

The Mavericks came into the night at No. 43 in the 5A playoff rankings. The top 32 teams make the playoffs. Anderson County will need a win against Clinton next week for shot at sneaking into the playoffs.

With the loss, Hardin Valley is in a similar situation, needing a win against Karns next week for a chance at making the playoffs. The Hawks came into the game at No. 36 in the 6A playoff rankings.
