Morristown football crowd breaks out in "Call Me Maybe" flash mob

11:40 PM, Sep. 28, 2012 EDT

It was a big night Friday for football in Morristown as the city's East high school visited the West for an annual rivalry game, and there was a memorable moment before the game even got started.

Students gathered in hopes of breaking the record for the biggest flash mob in Tennessee.

Flash mobs are large groups that show up in one place, often to sing or dance, after the idea spreads on social media.

The hit song, "Call Me Maybe" was the focus of Friday's mob. The group practiced the performance before they pulled it off in front of the crowd before the game.

No word yet on whether they broke the record.
