Here's a look at the American Family Insurance All-USA Indy Area Performances from the first round of boys basketball sectionals:
10.David McKnight, Baptist Academy: The senior hit two free throws with 6.6 seconds left to give his team a 47-45 victory over Greenwood Christian. McKnight finished with 10 points in sending the Chargers to a semifinal matchup with Irvington at 6 p.m. Friday at Edinburgh.
9.C.J. Coleman, Mt. Vernon: He scored 19 points in a 51-39 victory over a talented Brebeuf Jesuit team. The Marauders will play defending 3A champion Guerin Catholic at 7:30 p.m. Friday in front of the home crowd.
8.Jacob Johnson, Mooresville: The junior scored 26 points in a 56-44 victory over Northview. The Pioneers will host Terre Haute South at 6 p.m. Friday in the semifinals.
7.Trevon Bluiett, Park Tudor: The major Division I recruit was his usual unstoppable self, pouring in 34 points in a 64-40 victory over Shortridge. The performance set up a rematch with Broad Ripple, which beat the Panthers 45-41 on Feb. 9, at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
6.Jamario Wann, Crispus Attucks: A loss is usually enough to eliminate a player from Top Performers consideration but we'll make an exception for Wann. He hit seven 3-pointers and scored 42 points in an 84-78 loss to Washington.
5.Ryan Pendygraft, Center Grove: He scored 15 points, including a clutch free throw at the end of a 71-70 victory over New Palestine. The Trojans will face Whiteland at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
4.Bryce Platfoot, Franklin: He scored 7 points in overtime (10 overall) to help his team escape against Greenwood, 50-44. The Grizzly Cubs will play Franklin Central at 6 p.m. Friday.
3.Joey Cardenas and Kori Sublett, Beech Grove: Cardenas scored 21 points and Sublett 20 as the Hornets overcame a 7-point fourth-quarter deficit to pull out a 68-63 victory over Indian Creek. Beech Grove will play host Danville in the semifinals at 6 p.m. Friday.
2.Alan Willis, Lawrence Central: He hit the game-winning runner at the buzzer in a 44-43 upset of Warren Central. Willis finished with 14 points and will lead the Bears against Tech at 6 p.m. on Friday.
1.Jerron DeWalt, Arlington: He led the Golden Knights to a 62-57 overtime victory over Howe with 32 points. Arlington will play Bishop Chatard at 6 p.m. Friday in the semifinals.
