New Palestine names football coach
New Palestine High School has hired Kyle Ralph, a former University of North Carolina offensive line standout, as its new football coach.
Ralph, a graduate of St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati, was the offensive coordinator the past two seasons at Withrow University High School in Cincinnati. Prior to that he was the offensive coordinator at Oak Hills in suburban Cincinnati.
Ralph played four years at North Carolina under coach John Bunting and was a two-time first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference performer. He played briefly with the Seattle Seahawks and Carolina Panthers. New Palestine was 3-7 last season under interim coach Charlie Hill. The Dragons were 30-6 the previous three seasons under Tim Able.
