High school bowling: Franklin Central, Noblesville win semistate championships

Franklin Central captured the Indiana high school bowling semistate boys team title by edging Pendleton Heights 423-401 in Saturday's final at Southern Bowl in Greenwood.

Noblesville won the girls title, topping Terre Haute North 337-262. Pendleton Heights' Matt Robey defeated Franklin Central's Zach Weidman 196-179 in the boys individual final. In a battle of Boonville bowlers, Lindsey Borman beat Ashley Underwood in the girls final. The state tournament will be Saturday at Mike Aulby's Arrowhead Bowl in Lafayette.
