Make that four in a row for the Kiel girls swimming team's Elizabeth Buchholz.
The Raiders senior finished fourth in the 500 freestyle at Friday's WIAA Division 2 State Girls Swimming Meet in Madison en route to winning her fourth straight State medal in the event.
Buchholz finished in 5:10.32, nearly shaving a second off her seed time to finish behind Shorewood senior Ellen Stello's 4:58.34. McFarland freshman Rina Krupsky was second in 5:02.66 while Shorewood senior Genevieve Hayes was third in 5:07.55.
Buchholz just missed out on medaling in the 200 freestyle as she was seventh in 1:57.64. Hayes edged Buchholz by finishing sixth in 1:56.16 as the top six finishers in each event receive medals. Shorewoord junior Kristin Malone was first in 1:48.83, a new State record in the event.
Kiel junior Brooke Iserloth was the only other Manitowoc County swimmer to compete at State, as she finished 16th in diving with a score of 259.40 after a preliminary dive of 111.90. Iserloth, who was making her first trip to State, finished behind Whitnall senior Rachel Stave who won by setting a State event record with a total score of 497.30.
