Prep girls basketball: Kiel overcomes slow start, wins 38-26

Kiel's Maddie Dahmer led all scorers with 10 points to help the host Raiders defeating Howards Grove 38-26 on Saturday.

Kiel got off to a slow start, trailing 4-2 after one, but scored no fewer than 10 in any subsequent quarter.

Dahmer was helped defensively by teammates Brooke Goehring and Corinna Beaumont, who grabbed seven and six rebounds, respectively.

At Kaukauna, the Ships' Kali Hackmann scored 15 of her game-high 21 points in the first half to lead Lincoln to the win over the Ghosts.

The Ghosts had trouble slowing down the Ships' transition game in the first half when Manitowoc built a 29-11 lead.

The Raiders were undone by the Indians ability to get to the line in the road loss.

Kewaskum converted 27 of 34 free-throw attempts compared to just 12-of-26 for Two Rivers.

Mackenzie Walesh led the Raiders with 14 points while teammate Alexi Walesh added eight of her own.

Complete stats including individual scorers for Kewaskum were not provided to the Herald Times Reporter as of press deadline.
