(WZZM) - One of West Michigan's top returning high school football players will miss his senior season.
Holland quarterback Corey Willis is recovering from a torn ACL, suffered during track season, according to the Grand Rapids Press.
Willis led Holland to its best season in school history in 2011 with a 9-3 record.
He rushed for 2,334 yards, 33 touchdowns and threw for ten more before the Dutch's season was ended in the third round of the state playoffs by East Grand Rapids.
Willis burst onto the scene in week two of last season rushing for 242 yards and two touchdowns as the Dutch upset the Pioneers 30-22 on September 1st. The victory ended EGR's 34-game winning streak.
