BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WZZM) - Muskegon Catholic Central was three outs away from playing for the school's first baseball championship, but Decatur scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning to pull out a 3-2 victory Friday at Battle Creek's C.O. Brown Stadium.
Decatur (35-6) advances to face defending state champion Grosse Pointe University Liggett (25-3) in Saturday's state finals at 9:30 a.m. Liggett beat Rudyard 15-3 in five innings in the other semifinal.
