ZEELAND (WZZM) -- Zeeland East is off to a 5-0 start after having little trouble with Kenowa Hills in a 35-14 win.
On a broken play, Michael Custer ran 66 yards for a touchdown to put the Chix ahead 7-0. Zach Hill made a sensational touchdown catch to increase the lead to 14-0.
A Casey Carruthers touchdown run brought Kenowa within 7. But Custer and Hill hooked up again to put the Chix back up by 14.
With the loss, Kenowa Hills is now 2-3.
