Game Summary

Cory Utecht returned a kickoff 80 yards for the game-winning score to help the Braves (5-2, 3-0) clinch at least a share of the Mid-Indiana Football Conference championship by handing the Charges (5-2, 2-1) an MIFC road loss.

Utecht's return helped Indian Creek erase a first-half two-score deficit. The Braves took their first lead early in the third quarter on a TD run by Dokken Egenolf, part of his 193-yard performance. The teams traded touchdowns later in the period, leaving Indian Creek with a 32-28 lead heading into the fourth period.

North Decatur quarter Brock Ricke, who ran for one score and passed for three others, capped his night with a TD pass to Kevin Geis with just under nine minutes to play. The lead was short-lived, though, thanks to Utecht.

IC quarterback Matt Wray also passed for three touchdowns, all to wide receiver Brenden Smith.
