16) Michael Steinhauer
Mick McCabe picks the state's top-25 players. Here are Nos. 16-20. (Come back Tuesday for Nos. 11-15.)
Vitals: 6-3, 250.
Scouting: He led the Bulldogs in tackles for loss as a junior. He is quick off the ball and difficult to block one-on-one. He is an exceptional pass rusher, and his speed allows him to blow past offensive linemen. Committed to Central Michigan.
17) Mycial Allen
DB/WR, DETROIT KING
Vitals: 6-0, 190.
Scouting: Most of the college interest in him is as a defensive back, where he had five interceptions as a junior and is a sure tackler. But over the summer he has displayed the skills to make him an exceptional prospect at wide receiver, where he can catch the ball in a crowd.
18) Da'Mario Jones
WR, WESTLAND GLENN
Vitals: 6-2, 195
Scouting: He transferred from New Jersey a year ago and struggled in the new surroundings, accumulating 676 all-purpose yards. He has excellent speed (4.4) and could be a wide receiver or running back at the next level. Committed to Central Michigan.
19) Mark Chapman
QB, PORT HURON
Vitals: 6-0, 170
Scouting: He is one of the most dangerous QBs in the state, rushing for over 1,300 yards and passing for over 700, but he will be a WR in college. The things that make him a threat to score on every play -- speed and elusiveness -- will be in play when he moves to receiver. Committed to CMU.
20) Riley Norman
Vitals: 6-7, 305.
Scouting: A dominating blocker for three years, he has excellent feet and balance for someone his size. He has the quickness to get out and stop the edge rusher and is an exceptional drive blocker. He is a state champ shot putter.
