Monarch led 17-7 in the third quarter when Denver South appeared to score a touchdown on a 4th and goal play from the 3-yard line.
But the referees said Trevonte Tasco was down.
Unfortunately for Denver South the replays appeared to confirm the score but are not available for use at the High School level.
Monarch got the ball and the momentum.
Tasco would score for the Rebels with 3:04 remaining to close to with in 3 points.
But the final was 17-14 in favor of Monarch.
Monarch finished the season with a 13-1 record and their first championship since 2002.
