After going into half with just a five point lead, Highlands Ranch used a big second half to defeat Legacy, the defending 5A state champions, as they cruised to a 61-33 victory.
The Falcons, who are the preseason favorite to win the state championship, were seeking revenge entering this game, after falling to Legacy in the semifinal of the state tournament last year by three points.
Ranch was only up 21-16 going into half, but came out in the third quarter on fire, outscoring Legacy 23-5 as they pulled away for good.
