WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- In Friday's Game of the Week, Stonewall Jackson clung to its undefeated season record with a 42-38 victory over Battlefield.
With just ten seconds left in the game, junior quarterback Greg Stroman found running back Dezmon Hopkins in the end zone to secure the Raiders' win.
"We knew that we had the ability to score this many, [but] we were hoping they wouldn't score this many ... It was just a great game to be a part of. That's a great football team we just played and we're probably going to see them again," said Stonewall Jackson head coach Mike Dougherty.
The Bobcats held the Raiders to their lowest margin of victory yet this season -- leaving both teams atop the AAA Cedar Run District. We'd be surprised if Dougherty's prediction that the teams will meet again doesn't come to fruition.
