Irmo, SC (WLTX) -- The Dutch Fork Silver Foxes hung tough against the Lowcountry's best but in the end it was't enough as Goose Creek left town with a 28-17 win Friday.
Dutch Fork got off to an excellent start as Derek Olenchuck found Jordan Berry for a long touchdown on the first play from scrimmage.
Dutch Fork would get a Tyler Bass field goal to up the lead to 10-0.
Goose Creek would respond on Dantez Brennamon's touchdown run to bring the game to 10-7.
Dutch Fork would get a touchdown from Trey Gregg to bring the Foxes to within four, however the Gators would up the lead on a Rashard Alston run making it 28-17.
Dutch Fork will take on arch-rivals Irmo next week.
