Aurora High School rising senior football player George Bollas has orally committed to accept an athletic scholarship from Kent State University and to join the Golden Flashes' gridiron program in fall 2014, according to multiple published media reports.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound signal caller shared the news with his Twitter followers in a tweet on Tuesday.

Bollas initially received the scholarship offer - his first from a Division I school - while attending a quarterbacks camp at Ohio State on June 9, according to KentStateReport.com.
As a junior, Bollas threw for 1,170 yards and 13 touchdowns and recorded an additional 701 yards and 11 scores on the ground en route to leading the Greenmen to a Division II state tournament semifinal appearance.
