Jackson Prep tops Jackson Academy, 34-10, for MAIS state title

CLINTON — 

Hamel McGraw ran for 200 yards and Ryan Buchanan threw for 117 yards and two touchdowns Friday night, leading Jackson Prep to a 34-10 victory over Jackson Academy in the Academy AAA, Division I state championship game.

The Patriots (13-0) dominated from start to finish in winning coach Ricky Black's seventh state title and denying the Raiders (11-2) in their attempt win the title four straight years. By Jackson Academy losses this season came to Prep. Prep had 402 total yards to 177 for JA. Duncan Maxwell ran for 69 yards to lead Jackson Academy.
