LEWISTON, N.Y.-In the Western New York Federation boys hockey semi-finals St. Joe's defeated St. Francis on Tuesday night, 7-3. St. Joe's knew they out played the Red Raiders in the first period, with a shooting advantage of 14-2 over St. Francis, but still trailed 1-0 after the first. St. Joe's finished the game with a whopping 50 shots, while St. Francis wasn't able to generate as many chances, finishing with only 16 shots.

St. Joe's lifted the flood gates, and poured in 5 goals in the second period alone, going on to win 7-3. " I thought we played well enough to win, shots were 50-16, any time you put up 50 shots on a team your working hard. We're looking forward to Monday, Timon is a great team, a couple division champs playing each other" said St. Joe's Head Coach Rich Crozier.

Sophomore # 10 Dom Perna finished the game with 2 goals, while Senior # 26 Eric Paradowski tallied 1 goal and 2 assists. Also Junior # 12 Haralan LoVullo chipped in with 1 goal and 1 assist.

St. Joe's improves their overall record to 23-2-2, and move on to play Bishop Timon on Monday at 8 PM at Niagara University for the WNY Federation Hockey Final.
