BUFFALO, N.Y.-Saturday afternoon at Canisius the Crusaders beat Pittsford-Mendon from Section V Rochester 66-59 in the Bernard J. Kennedy Fieldhouse.
Canisius led by 11 at halftime, 33-22 and the Crusaders were never really seriously threatened by the Vikings.
For the Crusaders # 25 Adam Weir led the way with 26 points. Matt MacDonald # 33 had 20 and # 3 Aaron White had nine.
For Pittsford-Mendon # 5 Nick Keneally led the way with 18 points. # 32 Matt Sullivan had 16.
The loss drops Pittsford for 4-4 on the season. Canisius improves to 6-3 on the year. The Crusaders play St. Mary's Wednesday night at home then face St. Joe's Saturday afternoon in the Koessler Center on the campus of Canisius College.
