WEST SENECA, N.Y.-West Seneca West senior Brendan Barren made it official Tuesday signing his letter of intent to play lacrosse at Canisius College.
Barren received an athletic and academic scholarship. He wrapped up his high school career with a record setting season. He set school records in ground balls (career and single season) and had a number of honors come his way. He was an ECIC First Team long stick midfielder, an ALL-WNY First Team Player and an All American. Barren was named the male athlete of the year at West Seneca West for 2011-12.
Barren told Two On Your Side "the Canisius coaching staff is always really dedicated to their players. I just thought staying home people around here always helping me out and I felt that Canisius was a good place for me, a good fit."
Barren played football, hockey and lacrosse at West Seneca West. He was team captain in both hockey and lacrosse.
