NEWS CENTER- The West withstood an early offensive from the East then scored 26 unanswered points winning the 23rd annaul Lobster Bowl at Waterhouse Field in Biddeford by a 48-24 final.
Cheverus running back Spencer Cook was named the most outstanding player for the West after rushing for 113 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. His teammate Cam Olson ran for another 81 yards and a score along with 177 yards and another TD through the air. Wells QB Paul McDonough had three total touchdowns: one on the ground and two via the pass.
Samuel Dexter from Messalonskee earned East M.O.P. honors after his nine reception, 96 yard performance with a touchdown.
The West leads the overall series 17-6.
