There is a light slate of high school football action in DeKalb County as nine teams take a week off.

Region 6-AAAA jumps back into action after a bye week as only five games are set for DeKalb Stadiums this weekend.

All eight DeKalb teams in Region 6-AAAAA get their bye week this weekend along with Clarkston.

Undefeated Chamblee (4-0) tries to keep its slate clean as the Bulldogs host Region 6-AAAA foe Redan (1-3) at North DeKalb on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

The Bulldogs have not been 5-0 since their Class AAA semifinal appearance in 2007 when they started the season 7-0. Redan tries to get back in the win column in a big way with an upset and a 1-0 start in region play.

Towers (0-5) entertains Cedar Grove (3-2) in a Region 6-AAA match up at Hallford Stadium on Friday at 7:30 p.m. The Saints are coming off a 42-21 whipping of Decatur in their region opener.

Columbia (2-2) plays host to No. 4 ranked Marist (3-1) in Region 6-AAAA play at Adams Stadium on Friday. Both teams are looking to get off on the right foot in the region standings.

Druid Hills (2-2) travels to winless Luella (0-5) as the Red Devils try to even up their Region 2-AAAAA record at 1-1 following a tough 58-3 loss to ranked Lovejoy this past weekend.

Lithonia (0-4) plays host to Stone Mountain (1-3) as the two teams open Region 6-AAAA action at 7:30 p.m on Friday at Panthersville Stadium. Both teams suffered losses two weeks ago before their bye week.
