Apple Valley (Minn.) junior point guard Tyus Jones scored 25 points to surpass 2,000 career points in a win over Lakeville North last week, but he was most pleased with his defensive effort against Lakeville North star JP Macura.

Andrew Wiggins, Huntington Prep (W.Va.)

The nation’s No. 1-ranked basketball prospect had an electrifying dunk during the Beast Athletics Shootout at Oldsmar Christian (Fla.). Wiggins’ 17 points helped Huntington Prep to its 64-46 victory.

Roschon Prince, Poly (Calif.)

The USC commit anchored his team in a 75-69 win against Loyola. He followed that performance by posting 19 points in a 75-28 blowout of Mayfair in the second round of the CIF Southern Section I-AA playoffs.

Stephen Zimmerman, Bishop Gorman (Nev.)
C, 2015
The five-star prospect for the Class of 2015 made a statement with 18 points, 13 rebounds and seven blocked shots as he helped the Gaels to a 69-43 victory against Centennial in the state 4A final.

Courtney Ekmark, St. Mary’s (Ariz.)
G, 2014
The UConn commit had 14 points and six steals to help lead St. Mary's to its third consecutive Division I title.

Ariel Atkins, Duncanville (Texas)
G, 2014
Atkins posted 20 points, helping the undefeated (40-0) Pantherettes to their 78th consecutive win in the Class 5A regional title game.

Alexa Bailey, Bedford North Lawrence (Ind.)
G, 2015
During the Class 4A semistate championship game, Bailey's six free throws in the final minute of overtime helped her team hold off Roncalli.

Emily Surloff, Windward (Calif.)
G/F, 2015
The sharpshooter contributed 20 points, helping Windward walk away with an easy 71-23 win against Morro Bay in the CIF Southern Section 4AA quarterfinals.
